Pfizer says the manufacturing and distribution of the drug is impacted by a manufacturing problem in the United States.
A spokesman for the Food and Drug Administration said: “Pfizer has not had an opportunity to address the manufacturing problem in the United States. We are aware of this problem and we are currently reviewing it.
“Pfizer has not had a chance to address the source of the problem or to address any impacted manufacturing.”
The recall is based on information from a report by the National Library of Medicine and the FDA. The drug was recalled because it has not been effective in treating erectile dysfunction.
